     Guitar training has been a part of Musically Speaking for over fifteen years.  Whether you have always wanted to play guitar or have taken lessons before, we can help you become the guitarist you want to be.  Schedule a beginner lesson and you'll learn how to hold a guitar and pick, the names of parts of the guitar, a scale, a few chords, and a couple songs. For intermediate guitar students we will start by determining your areas of interest, strengths and weaknesses, and then tailor future lessons to meet your needs.

      
On the first day of training the guitar student is given a thorough examination of their  instrumental ability and interest.

We believe in teaching the instrument first, before concentrating on reading notation and music theory. In other words we don't start you in a method book created for a random student. We treat each student as an individual, each with different needs and  ways of learning. This way you can learn at your own speed and comfort!

If the student is interested, our training can also emphasize song writing.

Advanced level students will be trained in advanced music theory and guitar soloing technique.

We offer professional Guitar Lessons for $25 per ½ hour.
