     Drummers can sometimes get into a stale repetitiveness of the beats that allot of drummers play, day in and day out.. Most drummers don't want to share with other musicians, especially other drummers what they have learned to make them good at playing drums. At Musically Speaking Studios we teach you not only the basics but the techniques that you will need to become and extraordinary player.

      
     Good private teachers are rare - especially in smaller communities where students are often limited to just a couple people that are typically unqualified to teach more than a few basic lessons.

     Private lessons can be very convenient for most students. We have time slots available all times of the day that can accommodate your busy schedule.

     It's important to note that We teach drummers of all skill levels. We'll Teach form the basic "beginner" content to the advanced skills needed for extreme drummers!

     We will also guide you, to tuning and setup your drums to allow you to get optimum sound and playability from your drum set. We will teach you individual drum tuning (with tips for each), and distinct ways to setup your kit (with pros/cons explained for each), cymbal setup tips, and important information regarding drum set maintenance!

     This is vital for new drummers that do not want to build bad habits and poor techniques that can slow their progress in the future. We teach you how to properly hold the drumsticks for maximum control and comfort when playing the drums.

Bass Drum Technique- Tips for various styles of music (with the focus being on rock drumming).

Hi-Hat Technique- Tips for right and left handed players, and for both open and cross styles.

Basic Drum Notation- Tips to simplify reading the beats and patterns covered in the beginner section.

Basic Drum Theory- Tips about how to count quarter notes, eighth notes, sixteenth notes, and a breakdown of various combinations that are used to make up beats.

Exercises- Tips to develop basic stick control which will become extremely valuable when you move on to the intermediate and advanced lessons.
